Construction Hydrant Meter Rental
Cherokee Metropolitan District (CMD) requires any Contractor working within the CMD boundaries to rent a construction hydrant meter through CMD. Contractors cannot use a private device or a device rented from another Water Utility Company.
Rental Requirements:
- Must be a Contractor, construction hydrant meters will not be rented to private civilians
- An appointment must be made with our ORC, Tyler Dunich. Cell- 719-357-3133 Office – 719-597-5080
- Deposit of $3,000 is required by check only
- Construction Hydrant Meter assembly rental and water purchase agreement must be completed. CLICK HERE for the agreement.
- Read must be reported to the Billing Department by the 15th of every month.
- The meter must be swapped for a new meter every 180 days for testing.
- When returning the meter, an appointment must be made with Tyler Dunich and all rented items must be returned.

New Construction First Inspection: $75.00 (billed to Developer)
New Construction Re-inspections: $50.00 (per additional re-inspection)
Established Homes First Inspection: No Fee
Established Home Re-inspections: $50.00 (per additional re-inspection billed to homeowner)
